Fall Beauty / Sensory Experiences
I love the Fall season, and want to share a few of my favourite sensory experiences which help me focus on the present moment in a positive way (even if literally only for a moment!). Sight: I love seeing the leaves turn colour on the branches, and create art collages on the ground when they collect on the ground. Sound: The crunching of the leaves sounds comforting, as positive memories of playing in piles of leaves surface. Scent: The smell of wood burning stoves in neighborhood homes is warming, and welcome. I imagine myself sitting in front of a wood burning stove, cozy in a blanket, sipping a warm drink. Touch: The sensation of a cool breeze feels invigorating while I walk with my dog. Taste: Oh so many wonderful flavours associated with this season, including (not limited to!) cinnamon, apple, and pumpkin.
I hope are able to take a moment to think of your favourite sensory experiences this season brings.
Warm, cozy wishes,
